Tournament Rules

 

Rules and Regulations

1.  This is an OPEN BUDDY tournament series. Choose your own partner or fish alone.

2.  Only Largemouth and Kentucky Spotted Bass measuring 15+ inches and Smallmouth Bass measuring 15+ with MOUTH CLOSED will be weighed. Short fish will result in a 1lbs penalty & loss of fish.

3.  Golden Rule will be the official board used.

4.  Fishing with artificial baits only is authorized. There will be no motor trolling.

5.  A 50 yard courtesy rule is in effect for any boat that is anchored with trolling motor in stowed position.

6.  No more than two contestants per boat. NO EXCEPTIONS.

7.  Contestants must check in and pay prior to launch at safe light.

8.  Live wells will be checked by members of the Tournament Committee prior to boat being launched.

9.  There will be a 4 ounce penalty for each dead fish. No culling of dead fish!!

10.  No alcoholic beverages or drugs allowed. Violators will be disqualified & barred from future events.

11.  Competitors who are not at check-in area at the appointed time shall be penalized at a rate of 1 pound per minute.    Arriving 15 minutes past check in time will result in immediate disqualification.

12.  Five-fish limit per boat.  Cull rule is in effect.  You are not allowed to possess more than 5 fish.  Once a 6th fish is caught you must IMMEDIATELY cull down to a 5 fish limit.  Culling at the ramp will result in immediate disqualification from the event.

13.  All decisions by tournament officials are final. Tournament liability release form must be signed prior to participating.

14.  Fishing Rods over 8 feet shall be prohibited.

15.  Boats must be equipped with a working kill switch.  Life jackets must be worn at all times the combustible engine is running.

16.  All Federal, State, and Local Regulations shall apply; the competitor is solely responsible for his/her own licenses and boater insurance.

17.   Alabama Rigs can have as many wires/baits allowed by state rules but this tournament ONLY ALLOWS 3 HOOKS.

18.  All announcements by the Tournament Director at the ramp take precedence over written rules.

19. In the event no anglers from the tournament bring a fish to weigh in, the club will keep the big fish pot and 20% of the entry fees paid for that tournament. The rest of the pot will roll over to the next tournament.
